Lawyers of Varanasi opposed the Higher Education and Research Bill 2011 in front of D.M. Office and burn the copies of the said bill. This program of protest was passed in CBA & BBA Joint General body meeting held on 09-07-2012 at The Central Bar Association 'Banaras' (CBA) Hall. Meeting was called by Mr. Gopaljee Pathak, Secretary of CBA on the proposal of Mr. Anshuman Dubey [Vice-President, The Benaras Bar Association, Varanasi (BBA)] and ordered by Mr. Ashok Singh, President of CBA.

BCI planning for the Renewal of Advocates :-

Bar Council of India (BCI) is planning to do Renewal the licenses of the advocate's after every five years with the fee of Rs.600/-. Many of the advocates' are welcome the proposal of the BCI but maximum advocate's are opposing the plan of BCI at Varanasi.

Lawyers of India oppose the Higher Education and Research Bill 2011 :-

Bar Council of India  has strongly condemned the government’s stand on the Higher Education and Research Bill 2011 (HER Bill 2011) and has decided to oppose the same till the HRD Ministry does not exclude ‘the legal education’ and the ‘Advocates Act, 1961′ from the purview of all these anti people Bills.

भा.ज.पा. के विधान परिषद् सदस्य श्री विनोद पाण्डेय के द्वारा किये गए सवाल के जवाब में उत्तर प्रदेश सरकार ने सदन के पटल पर घोषणा किया है की वह अपने इस कार्यकाल में अधिवक्ता हित की कई योजनाएं संचालित करेगी। 
       जिस सम्बन्ध में समाचार हिंदी समाचार पत्र दैनिक जागरण तिथि 30-06-2012 के पृष्ठ सं. 15 पर प्रकाशित है।

       उक्त मांगे "अधिवक्ता पेंशन विकास समिति" के द्वारा अधिवक्ता हितो के लिए की गयी मांगो के ही अनुरूप है (¤ Movement for Advocate Pension (Welfare) Scheme ¤ Movement for U.P.Advocate Welfare Trustee Fund ¤ Movement for Stipend for New Advocates') अर्थात स.पा. और भा.ज.पा. दोनों ही दल हमारी समिति की मांगो से सहमत हैं। दोनों ही पार्टियों के विधानसभा चुनाव घोषणा पत्र 2012 में भी उक्त मांगो व योजनाओं का उलेख था।

        पूर्व में भी वाराणसी दक्षिणी के विधायक श्री श्यामदेव राय चौधरी ने उक्त मांगो को विधान सभा में उठाया था।
